Invitation to Bid - Glades County School District Bus Depot Demolition and Removal
To Prospective Bidders:
The Glades County School District (GCSD) hereby invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the purchase and removal of the former Glades County School Board Bus Depot, located at 599 10th Street, Moore Haven, FL 33471.
Project Scope:
This project entails the purchase of and complete removal of the designated metal building structure and interior structural components.
Required Services:
● Implementation of comprehensive safety measures in accordance with all applicable OSHA regulations.
● Initial project briefing and site walk-through with designated GCSD personnel prior to commencement of work.
● Safe and efficient deconstruction of the metal building.
● Complete removal and disposal (if necessary) of all building materials from the site.
● The bidder will retain ownership of all materials from the removed structure. Bidders are responsible for all aspects of material removal and sales.
● Any work performed beyond the defined scope will necessitate a written and signed change order prior to execution.
Site Visit and Additional Information:
Interested bidders are required to schedule a mandatory pre-bid site visit to discuss project details and assess site conditions. Please contact Mr. Dan Thomas at 863-946-0202, extension 2517, to arrange an appointment.

Sealed bids must be submitted to the following address:

Bids must be received no later than 9:00 AM on April 15, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
Bids will be publicly opened and evaluated at that time.
Award and Project Completion:
The submitted bids and the GCSD's recommended contractor will be presented to the Glades County School Board for final approval. The successful bidder must remit payment and complete the removal of the building and all associated materials by June 15th, 2025.
