glades county schools 4 day school week proposal

Dear Glades County School District Parents and Families,

We are considering a significant change to our school schedule and would like to hear from you. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both instructional time and work-life balance, we are exploring the possibility of transitioning to a four-day school week.

The proposed schedule would involve students attending school four days a week for extended hours, with Fridays off. This shift would not only provide additional instructional time but also offer families a longer weekend for rest, personal activities, and family time. We believe this change could greatly benefit both students and parents, but your input is essential in guiding this decision.

Glades County School District is proud of the academic achievements our students have made, and we are confident they can continue to meet their academic goals by embracing this innovative model. Being a trendsetter with this school calendar, we look to lead the way in providing the best possible education for our students/your child, while also supporting a balanced lifestyle for all of our families/staff.

The survey will only take a few minutes of your time, and your responses will remain confidential. The deadline to submit your feedback is April 11, 2025. Thank you for your time and valuable input. We truly appreciate your partnership in ensuring the best educational experience for our students.
